Technique classes by Kim Han in Jan!

How about starting the new year with a bunch of badass tango technique lessons to get into tango shape ? Well, Kim Han will be teaching what looks like a pretty dense series of technique classes here at Om. Give it a try and you will be glad you did. Here are the details.

What: Technique classes with Kim Han

When: Every Wednesday, 8pm – 9pm, Jan 4, 2012 – Jan 25, 2012 (4 weeks)
Where: Om Culture studio, 2210 N. Pacific St., Seattle 98103 (Wallingford, Gasworks Park)
How much: $8/class drop-in.

Week 1: General Technique for better connection
Breaking down dissociation, overturned ochos, walking, molinete basic technique.

Week 2: Technique and Timing for boleos
Changes of directions, boleo techniques from overturned ochos, as well as introduction to boleo choices; open-hip, closed-hip, and closed-circular. Also includes finding maximum torsion with different partners.

Week 3: Perfect Turns Techniques
Molinete technique review, dissociation, partnering work with consistency, and changes of directions with ochos, side steps, and boleos.

Week 4: Special Timing Secrets in Tango
Includes double time walks, double time ochos, double crosses, variations of ocho cortados, variation in molinete speeds and rhythms.

Note from Kim: Dropins are ok but I recommend you take the whole series, as the classes build on previous class material.
